Craig Best’s passion for cooking began in a village pub in Bedfordshire, laying the foundations for a career that would take him to some of the world’s most renowned kitchens. He soon moved to London to join the Gordon Ramsay Group, starting as a Demi Chef de Partie and progressing to Sous Chef over four years.

Driven to gain Michelin-star experience, Craig joined La Trompette in Chiswick, where he refined his craft before stepping into his first Head Chef role at Michael Nadra. His career continued to evolve as he worked with Marcus Wareing, joining the opening team at Treadwell’s and later moving to The Gilbert Scott as Sous Chef.

He then joined Jason Atherton’s Social Company as Head Chef of Social Wine & Tapas, where he further established his culinary style. During this time, he also played a key role in opening The Pig & Palm in Cebu, expanding his international experience.

In November 2016, Craig relocated to Dubai to take on the role of Head Chef at Marina Social by Jason Atherton. He was later invited back to the Gordon Ramsay Group to lead Hell’s Kitchen Dubai as Head Chef. Most recently, he spent over five years with Sunset Hospitality Group as Executive Chef at AURA Skypool.

Now, Craig embarks on an exciting new chapter with Take a Seat by Craig Best, his private dining venture, bringing his signature creativity and experience directly to the table.
